Drew Shoals plays drums with the Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop rock band, Train. In addition to touring with the band, Drew has recorded drums on many Train albums: A Girl, a Bottle, a Boat (2017), Train Does Led Zeppelin II (2016), Christmas in Tahoe (2015), and Bulletproof Picasso (2014). He has performed with Train on several television programs, including the Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America, Howard Stern Show, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, NFL Kickoff Party, Rachel Ray, The View, America's Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, Harry, NHL Stadium Series, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and Live with Kelly.
Both in the U.S. and abroad, Drew has played with Train at some of the most iconic venues and music festivals around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Hollywood Bowl, the O2 Arena in London, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall, iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, the V Festival in the U.K., Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Global Citizen Earth Day Festival in Washington D.C., KAABOO Del Mar Festival, the Gorge Amphitheatre, Bluesfest in Byron Bay, Australia, and Mountain Jam in Hunter, New York.
Drew proudly plays Ludwig drums, Zildjian cymbals, Vic Firth sticks, and Remo drumheads. Along with fellow New York City-based drummer, Gunnar Olsen, Drew is the co-founder of the interactive social media drum education series #playthisbeat.
Drew earned a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Whitman College. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he currently lives with his wife in New York City.
